Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how TimeLock, operated by Baxter Research Group ("we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our website and services. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide information to site operators. Cookies may be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them).

2. Cookies We Use

TimeLock uses a minimal set of cookies, all of which are essential to the operation of the Service. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

tl_auth_token

Essential

30 days

Authentication token (JWT). Keeps you signed in across sessions. Contains an encrypted reference to your account — no personal data is stored in the cookie itself.

In addition to our own cookie, third-party services integrated into the Service may set their own cookies:

Provider

Type

Stripe

Essential

Stripe may set cookies during the payment checkout process for fraud prevention and payment processing. These cookies are necessary for secure payment handling. See Stripe's cookie policy.

3. Cookie Categories

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as signing in or setting your preferences. Without these cookies, the Service cannot operate properly. All cookies currently used by TimeLock fall into this category.

3.2 Analytics and Performance Cookies

TimeLock does not currently use any analytics or performance cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or similar tracking services. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent before setting such cookies.

3.3 Advertising Cookies

TimeLock does not use any advertising or targeting cookies. We do not serve ads and do not share your data with advertising networks.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Please note that if you disable our essential authentication cookie (tl_auth_token), you will not be able to remain signed in to the Service and will need to re-authenticate on each visit. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

5. Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage and session storage to maintain application state (such as UI preferences). This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data through your browser settings.

6. International Considerations

6.1 European Economic Area and UK

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Since all cookies used by TimeLock are strictly necessary for the Service to function, we do not display a cookie consent banner. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism in compliance with applicable law.

6.2 California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know about the information collected through cookies. TimeLock does not sell personal information and does not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

6.3 Brazil

Under Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), our use of strictly necessary cookies is based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional Service. You have the right to request information about our cookie practices and to request deletion of cookie data.

6.4 Other Jurisdictions

We respect cookie and tracking regulations in all jurisdictions where the Service is accessed, including Canada (PIPEDA), South Africa (POPIA), Singapore (PDPA), India (DPDPA), China (PIPL), and others. Since all cookies used by TimeLock are strictly necessary for authentication and payment processing, they generally fall within exemptions for essential functionality under these laws. If your jurisdiction requires explicit consent even for essential cookies, please contact us and we will work with you to address your concerns.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
